Presented by FDN

3 CECs

This is a practical, confidence-building course for practitioners who want to truly understand research, not just quote it.
Across seven structured lessons, you’ll move from the foundations of good science through to confidently evaluating real-world studies and claims.
You’ll explore common examples of bad science, including the widespread misuse of correlation as causation, and learn why this matters so much in clinical practice. Dedicated lessons on statistics help you understand what statistical significance actually means and when it doesn’t so you can judge whether a claim is meaningful or misleading.
The course includes approximately 2.5 hours of video teaching, open-book quizzes, and a certificate of completion. Extra practice materials, downloadable handouts, and example research topics support deeper learning.
By the final modules, you’ll be applying your skills to real scientific papers, learning how to read a journal properly, evaluate evidence, and decide which claims, products, or recommendations you genuinely stand behind.
Self-paced and accessible, it’s ideal for health professionals who want to ground their work in credible, defensible science without feeling intimidated by research.

Food Story Coaching Certification

Presented by Food Story Coaching

20 CEs

This certification equips holistic nutrition professionals with the psychological, cultural, and coaching tools needed to help clients transform their relationship with food.

Grounded in behavioral nutrition and storytelling, the program teaches that sustainable change requires addressing both the emotional (inner) and behavioral (outer) dimensions of eating. It moves beyond traditional education-based counselling, focusing instead on emotional awareness, compassion, and the client’s lived experience.

The foundation of the curriculum is the 4 A’s Framework: Awareness, Analysis, Acceptance, and Action which guides clients through a structured, emotionally intelligent process for self-discovery and change.

Includes 8 online modules, delivered through 36 video lessons and 21 reference sheets, with each module building progressively on the last.

Each module requires approximately 5 hours of learning time (2 hours of online lecture plus 2–3 hours of reading, assignments, and client practice).

A mentorship option is available, pairing learners with a Certified Food Story Coach for additional guidance and feedback.

Key topics include:
•	Food culture and the psychology of eating
•	Coaching session flow and client communication
•	Working with perfectionism, control, resistance, and people-pleasing
•	Body image and self-worth
•	Shame, guilt, grief, and emotional eating
•	Trauma-informed coaching and diversity in practice
•	The interplay between inner emotional work and outer behavioral change
•	Professional practice considerations

The content draws inspiration from psychology (including Jungian concepts), mythology, and anthropology — positioning food as both a biological and deeply human experience.

Instructor
Ian Rubin, MA, CPT, CHC is the founder and an educator at the Food as Medicine Institute at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland,

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
•	Facilitate emotionally intelligent client conversations about food, beliefs, and behaviors
•	Apply the 4 A’s Framework (Awareness, Analysis, Acceptance, and Action) within coaching sessions
•	Recognize and compassionately address emotional barriers to change
•	Integrate psychological and cultural insight into nutrition counselling
•	Support clients through patterns of perfectionism, shame, resistance, or guilt
•	Work effectively with diverse clients through a non-diet, trauma-informed lens
•	Combine inner emotional work with outer behavior change to promote sustainable results
Enzyme Therapy for Your Body Type Program

Did you know there are four primary body shapes or biochemical types that correlate with specific enzyme deficiencies, food cravings, and personality traits?

Each type signifies a dominant gland within the endocrine system, influencing tailored exercise and diet plans to address the unique requirements of an individual's biochemical makeup. The root cause of many common diseases lies in the body's inefficiency to digest, utilize, and assimilate nutrients.

This program enlightens participants on the pivotal role of nutrition, enzymes, and digestion tailored to each of the four distinct biochemical types. Attendees will learn to equip their clients with the tools to balance their weight, address nutrient deficiencies, and manage their over-stimulated endocrine glands affecting their overall wellbeing. Drawing on over 30 years of clinical experience, this course offers a personalized nutrition system and introduces a lifestyle diet that resonates logically, promising long-term benefits for clients.

5-Month Advanced Course for Health Professionals
Elevate your understanding of environmental toxins & learn how to “talk toxins” in your practice, so you can expand your skill set, ability to support clients, and grow your business.

The world is waking up to the fact that everyday toxic exposures are not only real, but a big part of the rise in chronic health issues.
“DETOX” is all the rage these days, the organic foods industry is booming, and natural, plant-based skincare is the largest growing sector of that industry.

And yet, many people are still struggling with chronic health issues.

And not enough health professionals and health educators are able to help them understand, and take action on the toxic exposures that are making them worse.

If you’re ready to be the resource they need, deepen your education, expand your tool kit, and stand out from the pack, then keep reading…
The Biological Wisdom of German New Medicine for Practitioners

In the early 1980s, a physician made a revolutionary discovery that diseases – from a cold to cancer – are not “caught,” nor are they malfunctions or malignancies. Instead, they are significant biological programs that assist us during times of unexpected distress. Firmly anchored in our knowledge of embryology, GNM is a new biological science that reshapes our view of all symptoms and diseases. This is an introductory course to Germanic Healing Knowledge. This teaches the five biological laws of GHK that explain the cause, the development and the natural healing of diseases and how to use it effectively in daily life.

Please note; this is a pre-requisite course (Level 1) to the Practitioner Course (Level 2)
Whether your clients are still experiencing symptoms or are having trouble losing weight and diet alone isn’t working, there may be a missing piece to the puzzle: environmental toxins. While there are many we can’t control outside the home, there are many inside the home that we can. This course is designed to help the practitioner teach their client how to discover which common toxins in their home could be affecting their health by addressing three main areas of the home: the kitchen (food & beverages), the bathroom (personal care products & cosmetics), and the laundry room (laundry and cleaning products). After completing this course, practitioners will be able to prioritize which toxins to avoid for their clients’ own unique needs, how to identify (hidden and not-so-hidden) toxins on ingredient labels.

Approximately 85% of all cancer cases are caused by diet and lifestyle. Food is fundamental. It can contribute to the development of cancer and help prevent and manage the cancer process. The Oncology Nutrition Institute created the 100% online Oncology Nutrition Consulting (ONC™) program to provide proper and rigorous training based on the most up to date and comprehensive research in Oncology Nutrition.

This program illuminates what foods contribute to cancer, which may help to avert it, and how these foods impact health by referencing over 800 published studies. The information presented in this program empowers students to guide clients into making optimal changes. Nutrition is an effective adjuvant therapy that can enhance the effectiveness of standard treatments, including chemotherapy, while also helping mitigate side effects and improve quality of life – and this program is designed as a complement to conventional treatment.

Using Oncology Nutrition as an integrated and holistic approach to cancer significantly improves clinical outcomes. At ONI, we believe that all students and cancer patients should have access to safe, evidence-based, metabolic-focused Nutrition Therapy approaches to improve their care. Food is powerful medicine, and our job is to train students on the best practices in the emerging field of Oncology Nutrition. All of this within four, 10-week intensive courses, an Internship, and a final exam overseen by an instructor and our board members.
