To earn this valuable designation, you must demonstrate an exceptional level of knowledge and understanding of holistic nutrition by passing the board exam and documenting client contact hours.

We suggest downloading your FREE Board Exam Study Guide and preparing for the exam at least 6 months in advance.

Step #1: Read through the FAQs

Step #2: Be a Professional Member of the NANP in good standing

Step #3: Complete and submit your application form, and  pay for the exam

ITEMS YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE EXAM APPLICATION

• the application fee ($129 non-refundable)
  
• a photo or headshot (electronic or paper submissions accepted)
  
• a copy of your driver’s license or state-issued identification
  
• your resume or curriculum vitae
• proof of existing liability insurance (if you are in clinical practice)
• a copy of your holistic nutrition diploma(s) and/or certificate(s)
• a copy of any professional license(s) you may hold

Step #6: When you are ready to take the exam - CLICK HERE to pay your exam fee ($300). Payment must be received at least 4 weeks prior to your desired exam date.

• EXAM FEE ($300) REFUND POLICY (separate from the non-refundable exam application fee): Voluntary withdrawals will be honored for up to twelve (12) months after the application date. Within this period, fifty percent (50%) of the examination fee may be refunded.
