Viruses and their Multisystem Impact

Posted By NANP Editor, Wednesday, April 2, 2025

Virus infections are the chameleons of many symptoms, diagnostic test results and therapy options. Since Covid 19 there is more consciousness and knowledge about testing, tracking and therapy options during and after viral infections including Post Covid.

There is more and more evidence about opportunistic infections; especially viral infections: example Epstein Barr Cytomegalovirus, and Coxsackie infections which cause chronic inflammation, weaken the immune system, and the blood's ability to coagulate (form clots).

Modern laboratory test options like IgA-antibodies or cellular immune tests (EliSpots and CD3/CD56/CD57 markers), are examples of laboratory tests for different opportunistic infections with viruses, clinical symptoms and differentials of viral infections which can help to identify the best way to track and support clients with viral infections. Dr. Armin will also share the importance of 3 I´s (infection, immune-dysfunction, inflammation).
