Environmental Toxicity

Presented by The Healthy Home Project

6 CECs
The Healthy Home Project with Environmental Toxicity Specialist Tonya Harris, MSHN

Whether your clients are still experiencing symptoms or are having trouble losing weight and diet alone isn’t working, there may be a missing piece to the puzzle: environmental toxins. While there are many we can’t control outside the home, there are many inside the home that we can. This course is designed to help the practitioner teach their client how to discover which common toxins in their home could be affecting their health by addressing three main areas of the home: the kitchen (food & beverages), the bathroom (personal care products & cosmetics), and the laundry room (laundry and cleaning products). After completing this course, practitioners will be able to prioritize which toxins to avoid for their clients’ own unique needs, how to identify (hidden and not-so-hidden) toxins on ingredient labels.

Oncology Nutrition Consulting Certification

Presented by Oncology Nutrition Institutes’

30 CEC’s

Approximately 85% of all cancer cases are caused by diet and lifestyle. Food is fundamental. It can contribute to the development of cancer and help prevent and manage the cancer process. The Oncology Nutrition Institute created the 100% online Oncology Nutrition Consulting (ONC™) program to provide proper and rigorous training based on the most up to date and comprehensive research in Oncology Nutrition.

This program illuminates what foods contribute to cancer, which may help to avert it, and how these foods impact health by referencing over 800 published studies. The information presented in this program empowers students to guide clients into making optimal changes. Nutrition is an effective adjuvant therapy that can enhance the effectiveness of standard treatments, including chemotherapy, while also helping mitigate side effects and improve quality of life – and this program is designed as a complement to conventional treatment.

Using Oncology Nutrition as an integrated and holistic approach to cancer significantly improves clinical outcomes. At ONI, we believe that all students and cancer patients should have access to safe, evidence-based, metabolic-focused Nutrition Therapy approaches to improve their care. Food is powerful medicine, and our job is to train students on the best practices in the emerging field of Oncology Nutrition.
